Junior High in Ichinsokei, Iwate, Japan, and Betsy Sio, an
art teacher from New York and a fellow Japan Fulbright
Memorial Fund teacher.
Ms. Walkup, art teacher at W.S. Ryan, was chosen to
participate in the June 2008 Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund
Teacher Program, a three-week tour of Japan, one of 160
teachers chosen from across the United States.
