I am so excited to be a part of the Hawk Elementary team! I know that we will have an excellent year that is filled with many adventures in learning and growing as a class! This year in Language Arts I hope that you will develop a LOVE for reading. We are going to have so much fun exploring all of the different genres of literature and sharing with each other the discoveries we're making! Social Studies will be a study in American History. How important it is for us to learn about this great nation! Oh the connections we'll make!
A little bit about me....
As you can see, I have a very long last name (Yes, it is German!) With such a mouthful to say, you may certainly call me Mrs. O. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in both Elementary Education and Special Education. I knew I would be a teacher from a very young age, and hope to share my passion for learning with you! I am married to my wonderful husband, Ben, who is a high school choir teacher. Together we enjoy listening to music, hanging out with our friends, going to Barnes & Noble, and playing with our pets, Tenor (our Boxer) and Clara (our kitten). I love to read, travel, shop, and spend time with my family.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and am positive that this year will be a fabulous one! I am confident that our time together will be filled with many great accomplishments and memories as you celebrate your 5th grade year!
