Secondary Academic Programs 

The division of Secondary Academic Programs consists of the office of the Deputy Superintendent, the Department of Career and Technology, the Department of Fine Arts, the Department of Athletics, the Department of Guidance and Counseling, and the Department of Adult/Community Educationand Extended School Day.  Below is an overview of responsibilities of the office of the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Academic Programs:

  • Supervise all Secondary school operations and academic programs
  • Supervise and evaluate all Secondary principals
  • Supervise the educational leave process for district employees
  • Supervise the transfer process for secondary campuses
  • Due Process Hearing Officer for the Denton Independent School District
  • Assist Secondary parents with all aspects of each secondary campus
  • Development of instructional leadership
  • Development of DISD Student Code of Conduct
  • Staffing allocation for secondary campuses.
STUDENT TRANSFER INFORMATION -Transfer forms are available from any DISD campus, or the Central Services Building, located at 1307 N. Locust Street.
