The University of North Texas recently received federal
funding to help support individuals who would like to enhance
their knowledge and skills in working with children/youth with
special needs while they pursue the master’s degree
on either a part- or full-time basis. The primary focus will be
on students with or at-risk for emotional, behavioral and/or
learning problems.
Our grant allows for partial funding of tuition for part-time scholars
if they take six-credit hours per semester. For full-time scholars
we pay full tuition and provide a monthly stipend. Full-time scholars
spend 22.5 hours weekly in the schools. We are interested in
getting this information to individuals who may be interested in
pursuing a master’s degree in the area of emotional, behavioral,
and learning needs.
