{2011-2012}

Spring is here...maybe!

My name is Todd Herauf, and I am excited to be the Interim Principal at W.S Ryan Elementary School for the 2011-2012 school year! 2010-2011 was my first at Ryan, and I truly believe it was the best year I have had as an assistant principal (and that is in large part to the students and parents of WSR).

I am in my 5th year in Denton ISD.  However, I began teaching 5th grade in 1995 in the Spring School District.  From there I moved to Florida, and then back to TX where I worked in Austin from 1998-2001.  In the fall of 2001, I returned to Denton, home of the University of North Texas!  I worked on my Master's Degree and began teaching in the Lewisville ISD.  My positions there included 3rd grade and English as a Second Language.  Then in December of 2006 I was named Assistant Principal in Richardson at Arapaho Classical Magnet, where I stayed until opening L.A. Nelson.

On the personal side, I am married to Holly, a 4th grade teacher in Lewisville, and we have two children - Jackson and Piper.  Jackson attends Kindergarten at Prairie Trail Elementary (the same school my wife teachers at), and Piper is two years behind him.  We live in Denton - just around the corner from W.S. Ryan.  If that wasn't enough, we are huge fans of the MEAN GREEN!  Speaking of the Mean Green, I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education Administration at UNT, and we are season ticket holders for football (please no teasing).

I am all about building relationships, and that starts with you!  Please don't hesitate to contact me and let me know how things are going!

Sincerely,

Todd J. Herauf
