A Little About Me
I am a graduate of Texas Woman's University where I studied Kinesiology and Nutrition. Part of the Kinesiology coursework involved teaching physical education, adapted sport and aquatics in the pre-school, elementary and middle school levels. It was then that I realized my interest in working with students. Upon graduation, however, I accepted a position in the clinical setting writing nutrition programs for the inpatient population at a world renowned PT/OT clinic. I then began providing wellness coaching for individuals with chronic illness such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity and inflammatory disease. My work experience caused me to realize the need in our culture of modeling to our children the importance of living healthfully. It is my desire to spark a passion in others of all ages to try new modes of play, physically and nutritionally.
I began teaching Physical Education in Weatherford, Texas and soon moved to the Aubrey/Crossroads area. I enjoyed working as P.E. Aide to Coach Servello last year and was ecstatic to accept the position as P.E. Coach for the 2016-2017 school year. I believe that my passion for students of all ages, my enthusiasm for the subject I teach, and my heart to be a part of a thriving community will serve to benefit your campus. I look forward to the exciting things we can accomplish this year!!!email: firstname.lastname@example.org
