As we begin a new school year, I am filled with excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to serve the students and staff at Navo Middle School. As principal, I look forward to building relationships with our parents and within the community. The staff and students of Navo have a proven record of success. We will continue to build on our success, in and out of the classroom.
A little about me…This is my 20th year as an educator. My roles to date have been English teacher, assistant principal, associate principal and principal. For the last four years, I held the position of principal at Fred Moore High School. I actually began my administrative career at Guyer High School, where my two oldest children graduated. I have enjoyed 8 wonderful years working in Denton ISD and look forward to many more.
I earned my undergraduate degree from The University of Louisiana at Monroe in English and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Texas Woman’s University. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Educational Leadership at The University of North Texas. I think it would be fair to say that my value of education is both professional and personal.
As I look forward to what I hope to accomplish at Navo, it really seems simple. I want students to be excited about learning and to feel truly supported. I want every student to sense that we all hold such high expectations because we believe in them. Working together, we will have a great year!
