While the content of this production is safe for all audiences, it does contain existential angst, a quest for self awareness and references to fictional parents being...not amazing.Younger audience members may have a hard time focusing for the length of the show, please be forewarned.Welcome from the Director
Thanks for visiting the McMath Middle School Theatre Arts Homepage.
My name is Mr. Taylor and I am thrilled to be your theatre teacher!
I believe that theatre is a portal through which we begin to understand what it means to be citizens of the world. A chance to look through the eyes of other people, other cultures and other histories. A chance for students to experience what it means to step into the shoes of another person and a chance for students to take the first steps toward expressing themselves through art.We are not just an acting department. If you find yourself concerned that you aren’t interested in being on stage, we will be working with costume design and construction, sound design, lighting design and set design. There is something here for everyone if you allow yourself the chance to discover it.
This year we are producing two shows: A Spare Me in the Fall and the district One Act Play contest. Check the calendar for class performances and the advanced class showcase in May.Check the productions page for more information about titles, auditions and other information.
If you need immediate information, check out our Facebook Page.
If you have any questions about how to get involved as either a student or a volunteer, don't hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is to a great year at MMS!
