My name is Dayna McMillan, I am a third grade teacher in my THIRTEENTH year at Hodge Elementary. I am the mother of two daughters, Hayley and Samantha. We have three cats and one dog. I have lived in Denton since 1982, when I came to college at North Texas State University. After graduation, I began my teaching career in Aubrey, where I taught Chapter I Reading and Math, and eventually moved to second grade. I stayed in Aubrey until the birth of my first child in 1990. I decided to stay home for the next few years to raise a family. To stay current with education, I went back to the University of North Texas and pursued my Master's degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I began teaching third grade in Sanger, Texas. I loved my years in Sanger, but after five years, I decided that I would move to a school closer to home. I began teaching third grade at Hodge Elementary in 2000. I have worked with many wonderful teachers and students here at Hodge, and I am looking forward to all of the possibilities ahead!
