• Hi, welcome to my home page.  I have been teaching school going on twenty two years. I enjoyed teaching first grade for seven years in Lewisville ISD. I was blessed enough to stay home with my three children for eight years while they were young. Fifteen years ago I was given the opportunity to get hired on here at McNair to teach 2nd grade. I earned my BA degree from the University of North Texas. My husband owns and runs Black Bear Consulting, LLC. that provides technical and business solutions for companies. I have three children, all who have graduated from Guyer High School.  My son and his wife have a beautiful daughter named Juniper Grace and she has been such a blessing to our family. I have a twenty two year old daughter who is working toward her Veterinary Technician Degree and a twenty year old who is attending North Central Texas College and then hopes to transfer to Stephen F. Austin to finish her studies in Wildlife Management.  We have lived in Corinth for seventeen years but are planning to build our final home on our ten acres in the country soon. I love teaching and I want my students to love learning.  My classroom is a place where children are engaged in the learning process,  are being challenged, encouraged to take risks, and are treated with respect. It takes all of us working together to ensure our kids grow up to be life-long learners and productive citizens.  "Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be".
