Who am I...Wow, where do I start?

My name is Jade McClure.  I am beginning my thirteenth year of teaching.  This is my ninth year at Navo and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!  Previously, I taught two years of fourth grade in Pilot Point and two years of second grade at Lee Elementary in Denton.  I graduated from TWU with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Specialization in Reading.  This summer, I decided to continue my education.  I enrolled at Sam Houston State University to pursue a graduate degree in Library Science.  This is my first year in the LIBRARY and I am so excited about my new role.

I live in Pilot Point, where I was born and raised, with my husband and daughter.  I have been married to my husband, Wade, for nineteen years.  We have a beautiful daughter, Whitley, who is about to turn nine.  (Whitley was my maiden name ;o)  There isn't much of anything that we don't enjoy doing, but a couple of our favorite things are camping in our RV with friends and watching Whitley pursue her dreams!

I take PRIDE in my job, therefore I take it very seriously.  I will hold myself, along with my students, to a high standard of EXCELLENCE.  Naturally, by doing so, a mutual RESPECT develops between my students and me.  My life has taken me through many careers, but none as rewarding as making a difference in a child's life.  I am excited to be at Navo, and I am anticipating a wonderful year full of many successes!
