Ms. Kala Hall

Position:  Spanish Teacher, Instructional Coach and Sponsor of the Spanish Honor Society

Education: University of North Texas, Texas Woman's University and ten different summer language and culture immersion programs in Costa Rica and México, including the states of México, Morelos, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo.

Teaching Philosophy: It is my belief that access to education is the great equalizer in our society.  Each individual has the opportunity and the ability to empower themselves by pursuing knowledge.  I love to learn, and I hope to inspire my students to become lifelong learners.   I do my best each and every day to love, teach and interact with your children as I would my own.

About me: I was a nurse for many years before transitioning to teaching.  I worked with babies, children, teens and pregnant women.  I began to study Spanish for my nursing career, but fell in love with the language, culture, history and people.  Teaching is the toughest and most rewarding career that I could ever hope to have!

I LOVE KIDS and all the ways that they are!  I love their blessings, challenges, energy, laziness, flexibilty, stubborness, confidence and insecurities.  I love them exactly as they are and only pray that I can help them in some small way to develop the tools they will need to realize their hopes and dreams.
