About Paloma Creek Elementary
Paloma Creek Elementary was built in 2007 to help accommodate the growing student population in the eastern portion of the district. The school is named after Paloma Creek, a growing master-planned community in Denton County, where the school stands.
One of the district’s fastest-growing schools, Paloma Creek has earned a reputation for creating a family-friendly learning environment for its students. There is a lot of parental involvement during and after school with activities including everything from reading to younger students to co-hosting a school dance.
Paloma Creek teachers and staff are known for thinking outside the box to encourage academic and social growth in their students. Past activities have included creating video research projects on iPads, using a recycling drive to practice math skills with weights and measures and hosting a staff/parent game versus amputee basketball players to demonstrate the importance of attitude and acceptance.
Students at Paloma Creek have a number of opportunities to learn more than just the elementary basics with gardening club, chess club, running club, announcement team, choir and orchestra available for students to join. The goal at the school is to create community-minded learners and Paloma Creek students are accomplishing that each day.
