Guyer High School symbolizes the commitment the citizens of Denton ISD have toward providing a quality education for young people in the community. It offers a variety of academics from Advanced Placement classes for state-of-the-art science, math and technology programs.

Denton Independent School District recognized 155 students from Guyer High School with its Varsity Academic-Athlete Award, an annual program that honors top student-athletes for success on the field and in the classroom.
Denton Independent School District high school choir students accounted for 35 medals at the recent UIL state solo and ensemble contest at the University of Texas at Austin. Among the awards were 14 solo and five ensemble "superior" (or gold) ratings.
