Key Focus: America is currently in a deficit of skilled tradesmen, especially welders. My goal is to provide an educational experience that will mirror the current industry requirements for skilled welders to prepare students to fill those vacant positions.

Background: I have had a passion for welding since my first welding experience in an Ag Science class at Krum Middle School. I completed two years of Pre-Employment Welding during my high school studies at Krum HS. I continued my need to burn metal during my college years at Texas A&M, taking classes in welding at Sam Houston University, and Texas A&M Commerce. My most recent teaching assignment prior to teaching at the ATC was at our local community college, NCTC. At NCTC I trained employees for GE, taught Welding, Print, and Industrial Math, and taught Gainesville High School Welding. Most recently I obtained my AWS CAWI status in 2015, and will reapply for CWI status upon achieving years of industry experience this school year.
