Welcome to Ann Windle School for Young Children. I'm excited to be the part-time counselor working with you and your child this year. My office hours here at Windle are 8-3 on Mondays and Wednesdays and every other Friday. This will be my 18th year as a counselor and my 21st year in education. I've had the opportunity to see many students succeed and flourish in Denton ISD. My hometown has been Denton since I began at the University of North Texas in 1989. I received both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1992 and a Masters Degree in Counseling Education in 1998 at UNT. I have been honored twice by former students by being selected as Who's Who Among American Teachers. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC.
As your child's first counselor, my goal is to familiarize you with my role as a school counselor and to help your child reach their full potential socially and emotionally. As a school counselor, I will work with you and your child to discover the joys of becoming a lifelong learner. I believe that diversity is to be respected and appreciated, and that our school fosters unity among our students, faculty, staff and community. If you need to reach me, call 940.369.4396 or email me at email@example.com.Sincerely,Sabrina Polk, M.Ed., LPCPlease send any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org
