    The BMMS counseling department will be administering the Denton ISD Student Safety Survey to a sample of our student body from April 10-April 12.  The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete and should not interfere with overall teaching objectives.  Participation in the survey is completely voluntary.  The survey was designed to ensure that the participation of students is anonymous.

    The Student Safety Survey covers the following topics:

    - Access to Technology and Books;

    - School Environment;

    - Personal Safety;

    - Tobacco, Alcohol and Drug Abuse;

    - Interpersonal Relationships; and

    - Student understanding of Suicide Prevention, Bully Prevention, Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Sexual Abuse Prevention.

    The Student Safety Survey has two primary objectives.  It serves to help DISD and BMMS understand the needs of our campus and helps maintain accountability to ensure that we are achieving district and campus goals.  A copy of the survey will be in the BMMS Counseling Department for your review.  Again, the survey is completely voluntary and if you do not want your student to participate, please contact BMMS Student Assistance Counselor, Ravin McCallum at rmccallum@dentonisd.org or at 940-369-1512.
