    Message from Instructor:
Hello and welcome to Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security. This is the introductory course in the Law and Public Safety Career and Technology Pathway. I am very excited and looking forward to starting a new year. I have a passion for my subject area and love to share it with other and get others interested it. We are going to have a blast this year!

    Education and Work Experience
I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University with my Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Upon obtaining my degree I went to work for Dallas County Juvenile Services as a Detention Officer. I have experience working in intake, recieving and  fingerprinting. I have also worked on the detention units with the offenders. My experience also extends into work with offenders specifically with drug and behavior problems. After my time with Dallas County I went to work for the State of Texas as a Child Protective Services Investigator. My job duties included conducting investigations of abuse and neglect of children, reporting investigation findings  to the courts, and providing assistance to families in need. I then made the transition into teaching 4 years ago and have been loving it ever since! I just recently obtained my masters degree in educational leadership at The University of North Texas!
My interest include politics, law, education, traveling, ANYTHING outdoors (fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking), I enjoy spending time with my wife Natalie who share's all of my interest. We are expecting our first child this coming September, Joey! She is also an educator teaching Business in Northwest ISD.
