Position:Associate Theatre Director
Master of Science in Theatre; Texas A&M CommerceBachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance; Viterbo UniversityTeacher's Certification in EC-12 Theatre; UNT
I am a graduate of the DHS theatre program, and went on to major in theatre, work professionally as a costume designer, and an actor, then head back home to Denton after a few years to pursue my teaching certification at UNT. I have taken on many roles in theatre and film from acting to stage managing, directing, play writing, costume and prop designing, and working backstage and in the booth. I consider myself a "theatrician" by trade. I believe that our talents and passions are what we have to offer our community, and that an engaging, interactive education is the foundation for bringing those talents and passions to the forefront of our students' minds. I know that the best way to share my passion for theatre with students is to continue to be involved as an actor, director, designer, and stage manager, and share those experiences with them as they navigate their own artistic journey.
I have just graduated from TAMU-C with my Master's degree in theatre. I am always looking for ways to stay involved in community theatre in any capacity possible and I am on the production board for Denton Community Theatre. My passion for story telling and learning is how I give back to my community, whether at school, or in a performance space around town. I have three darling cats: Jon Snow, Arya, and Bran; and I am not afraid to put posters directly on my walls.
