Background:   After graduating high school in Burkburnett, Texas, I enlisted in the United States Army.  I was an Infantryman in the 25th Infantry (Light) Division.  After my enlistment was up, I returned home to start college at Midwestern State University.  While studying Criminal Justice there, I was hired by the Wichita Falls Police Department.   I worked as a police officer at WFPD for over 4 years (in Patrol and on a full time Tactical Team) before moving to Denton and becoming a police officer at Denton PD.  During my time at the Denton Police Department, I was a Patrol Officer, Criminal Investigations Detective, Narcotics Detective and a member of the Recidivist Apprehension Team, which focused on the apprehension of Career Criminals.  I was a member of the Denton PD Tactical Team for 14 years, serving as a Squad Leader for the past 10 years.  After 22 years, I retired from Policing in August of 2015 to pursue my dream of teaching.  I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your children about Law Enforcement!
