More about me:
I live in Denton in a house with my dogs Pete and Annie. I love teaching music to my students but I also have a variety of other interests. My main passions outside of music are running and soccer. I regularly play in soccer leagues around North Texas, both indoor and outdoor. I also love watching soccer games live and on tv every weekend. I enjoy running. My favorite race so far has been the Palo Duro Canyon 20K trail run, which I am trying for the 3rd time this October.
Most of my friends are musicians and many of the activities we do together involve music. I attend as many concerts as I can throughout the year. I enjoy attending performances of the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Bach Society, and many touring Broadway productions in the Dallas and Ft. Worth arts districts. Many times on weekends I perform professionally with my string quartet at weddings and other events.
I enjoy traveling whenever I can. My favorite trip so far was to the Czech Republic while I was still a college student. I traveled there with one of my UNT music professors and other music students and I'll never forget performing solo Bach cello suites in some awe-inspiring gothic and baroque cathedrals there. I have also enjoyed a trip to Costa Rica where I got to experience the amazing beaches, rainforest, volcanoes, and wildlife. In the past few summers, I've enjoyed road trips to the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Hawaii, and many interesting stops along the way.
