Welcome to Pecan Creek!  My name is Robin Brownell, and I am honored to serve students, teachers, and the community of Pecan Creek as the assistant principal.  We continue to work as a Professional Learning Community with our focus on student learning.  This school year will be filled with incredible opportunities for our students to enjoy engaging and rigorous learning under the talented guidance of Pecan Creek teachers.
 
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the University of North Texas.  This is my 10th year in Denton ISD, and my 17th year in education.  I began my career in Carrollton-Farmers Branch in 4th and 5th grade.  My Denton teaching experiences consist of ESL, Reading Interventionist, and Instructional Coaching.  My graduate work in Educational Administration has been done through the University of North Texas.  
 
On a personal note, I have been married to Giuseppe Brownell for 15 years and we have three beautiful daughters.  Our oldest daughter Mia is 11, our middle daughter Arianna is 8, and our youngest daughter Olivia is 6.  In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, and shopping for shoes.  My goal is to run another half marathon in the near future.
 
I believe it is essential to maintain strong communication between home and school so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations.  This is going to be an incredible year of learning at Pecan Creek!
