Meet the Teacher!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Sharp and I love being  part of the third grade team at Savannah Elementary! Our year will be full of learning and fun! I can’t wait to get to know more about you but I first wanted to share a few things about me!

I was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Texas when I was eight years old. I spent my childhood in Carrollton, Texas and graduated from high school in 2001. After high school I spent three years at The University of Oklahoma…BOOMER SOONER! After three years I moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas. They have one of the top teaching programs and I decided this was a great move for me! I graduated cum laude from UNT with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

I started teaching first grade at Savannah Elementary in 2006. I helped open the school twelve years ago! I taught first grade for nine years before moving to third grade to teach Language Arts and Social Studies.

I have been married to my husband, Brandon, for ten years and he is my best friend! We have a five year old named Bennett, who is so full of life and loves to learn. He will be starting Kindergarten this August. We also have a five month old daughter named Tyler. She is always smiling and laughing and completed our little family of four this past February.
