    Is there a swim team for Denton ISD?
    Yes, there is a swimming team for each of the 3 high schools.

    Do the three teams compete together?
    No, each school competes as a separate school.

    Do the three teams practice together?
    Yes, the schools are grouped based on ability.

    What are the groups?
    Varsity trains in the morning ( before school/first block ) and JV trains in the afternoon (5th block/after school).

    What are the practice times?
    Varsity practices from 7-9 a.m. and JV practices from 3:40-5 p.m.

    Where are the practices?
    The Denton ISD Natatorium is located at 2400 Long Road, right next to the City of Denton Water Works Park and C.H. Collins football stadium.

    What transportation is provided by the school?
    The school district will bus varsity swimmers to school by second block each day and pick up JV swimmers at 3:15 p.m. each day and bus them to the pool.

    Is there a bus that brings the JV swimmers back to the school campus?
    No, the students will need to be picked up at the pool each day. Parent car pools are common for kids on the team.



    When is the swim season?
    Meets start in late October and and the State Championship is in late February.

    What equipment does does the school provide?
    Team suit and team swim cap. Athletes will need to provide practice suits, goggles and caps.
