~All About Mrs. Cooper~
Jogging the Golden Gate Sic Em' Bears
AS far back as I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher! I am starting my 31st year of teaching. Both of my parents were ALWAYS emphasizing education. My mother is a full blood Ponca Indian and was an Indian Princess for her tribe. My father is an Olympic Gold Medal Basketball player in the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 (pretty cool huh?) He was also the high scorer and captain of that team! Can you tell I am PROUD of both of them? I also have 1 brother and 1 sister.
EDUCATION, basketball and athletics all played a very important part of my life. I played college basketball for 4 years at SOSU in Oklahoma and I also started piano and voice lessons at an early age. Both parents felt music and sports provided a great balance in my life.
AFTER college I was a head basketball coach in high school for 10 years in both Oklahoma and Missouri. I also coached cross country and volleyball.
I have one son who is 19 years old and in college in Missouri.. I also have a dog named Bentley!
MY hobbies include going to my home in Haines, Alaska and attending Baylor football games. I LOVE hanging out with my family, baking wedding and birthday cakes, jogging, traveling and working in the yard.
My bucket List:
Climb Mt. Killimanjaro and go on an African safari!
