Reggie Reggie  Reggie
Reggie is officially retired from his therapy dog days April 5, 2016. Read below for information about Reggie and what it takes to be a Therapy Dog. Reggie will be missed by many.
Reggie is Denton ISD's First Certified Therapy Dog. He has 14 years of experience working with children and is certified every two years through Pet Partners with Mrs. Polk, our counselor. He loves coming to school and meeting new friends. You will find that Reggie is a very balanced gentleman with a huge heart. He never discriminates or judges people. When he meets new friends, he will sniff, wag his tail, and may even rest his head in a child's lap. Don’t worry, he is trained not to jump on people or lick them. Most people consider Reggie to be a hypoallergenic dog because he is a terrier and doesn't shed. To help with allergies, he also gets a bath before school each time he visits. He also undergoes a variety of health exams every year to maintain his overall health and well-being. You can meet Reggie on special days at Gonzalez School for Young Children.
