• Here's one of our Bucket Filling Books!

We are Bucket Fillers, NOT bucket dippers! All grades have read a book about bucket filling and we practice it every day! Everyone has an invisible bucket that holds all the love and happiness you get everyday. The magical thing about having a full bucket is that you fill your own bucket when you do something nice or say something kind to someone - which fills up their bucket, too!

Kindergarten and First grade weekly guidance lessons are from the Second Step Violence Prevention Curriculum which emphasizes learning feelings, calming down strategies so we can respond with kindness, and problem solving interpersonal skills. First grade completed the Seven Habits during the Fall semester and Kindergarten classes will learn all Seven Habits after spring break.

Second grade weekly guidance consists of reinforcing the character traits of: Gratitude, Self Control, Grit, Social Intelligence, Optimism, Curiousity, and Zest! We'll read books, act out skits, and have class discussions to improve our character behaviors. Travis and Presley curriculum was in the Fall and The Seven Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey has been our focus all year.

Third, Fourth and Fifth grade guidance happens about 6 times each semester. We are studying The Seven Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey in order to be the best human beings we can be. Our goal is to be the best people we can be in order to make the world a better place.
