Denton ISD District Policy and Consequences (paraphrased)
Denton ISD prohibits bullying as defined in the Denton ISD Student Code of Conduct.
Bullying can be expressed in written, verbal, physical, or electronic means, occurring on school property or at a school-related activity, or in a vehicle operated by the district that has damaging effect on the student and is severe, persistent, and intimidating, threatening, and abusive to the educational environment.
It is considered bullying if there is an imbalance of power, and interferes with the student’s education and operation of the school. Principal or Assistant Principal investigates bullying/harassment allegations. If results indicate that bullying occurred, the District will take appropriate disciplinary action depending on the severity of the conduct.
