It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2012-2013 school year.

My name is Cecilia Holt and I have the privilege of serving as the principal of L.A. Nelson. I am so excited to part of this amazing team where extraordinary people produce exemplary results.

 

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.  I have been in education for 20 years and during that time I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. After receiving my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas, I became an assistant principal for five years serving at both Lee Elementary and E. P. Rayzor Elementary. This is my second year to serve as principal of L. A. Nelson.

On a personal note, I have two wonderful children. Kylie is seventeen years old and is a senior in high school.  She loves to socialize and stay up late talking (or should I say texting!) with her friends. Konnor is a sophomore in high school and he loves to play soccer! My husband and I just celebrated our twentieth year of marriage and look forward to growing old(er) together. During my free time, I love to read, garden and exercise.  I just recently completed my second half marathon and hope to finish a full marathon in the near future!

I look forward to serving the teachers, students and parents of L. A. Nelson.  I ask for your continued support and active involvement as we "do whatever it takes" to make your child(ren) successful.
