"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in,
how much money I had in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like, BUT
One hundred years from now, the world may be a little better because
I was important in the life of a child."
Nate Tandberg - GTT Instructor -------------------------McMath Middle School
REMEMBER-Copyright inhibits our curriculum being public on the web...so ALL assignments and  GTT resources are located on your child's Google Drive 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
For OPEN HOUSE or if you missed Open House, here is the spot where you can give me family info in addition to HAC.
    About me:
My name is Nate Tandberg.  I have a beautiful wife named Amy who is also a teacher. It's neat because some students get to have my wife in Elementary and me in Middle school :)
White House with Amy and Nate
We have two daughters Madeleine and Kensington, One Lab, Two Pugs, One bearded dragon, One Armadillo Lizard, One Turtle, One French Lop rabbit that is larger than my pugs..
I have been teaching in Denton ISD for 10 years.  I have been Blessed that all 10 have been on one campus.  I also have the privilege to be the department head for all middle schools in GTT whiel I directly instruct GTT at McMath middle school.  I am the Lead Gateway to Technology instructor for Middle School Instruction for Denton Independent School District.  5 years ago, DISD Advanced Technology Complex (ATC) led by Dean Carla Ruge (Now CTE Director of DISD) and Engineering lead Thomas Babb decided to bring the STEM program Project Lead the Way to the middle school arena.   Since then, PLTW GTT classes have been added to every middle school in DISD.  When I heard about what was coming I jumped in immediately.  Physics, Robots, Super Computers...what's there not to like I thought.  I was right!
I have a love for Science, for Technology, etc...and my passion is brought out even more through this course.  I will teach your child NOT a TEST...but a way to approach life...as a PROBLEM-SOLVER.  A doer, not a watcher.  Independent, not dependent.  Free thinker with no limit, no guidelines and limitations.
I look forward to an exhilarating year of engineering and design.
