"The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think,
than what to think—rather to improve our minds,
so as to enable us to think for ourselves,
than to load the memory with the thoughts of others.”
~Bill Beattie

Technology Education:

Welcome to my web page. I'm glad you stopped by! You may remember a class called  Drafting, Industrial Technology, Industrial Arts or if you are really old you might remember a class called “Wood Shop.” Well things are changing today faster than most of us can keep up with and students today have an urgent need to know where they are headed in life. Students have limited exposure to what is going on out in the real world and they need to be able to explore all the possibilities in order to make informed choices about their future academics and careers. That is exactly what today's Technology Education class is all about. We use the latest technology available and explore the relationship of tools, materials and processes then apply that to our plans for the future.

This class provides students with experiences that they cannot get anywhere else. Exposure to concepts like cooperation, responsibility, self-determination, leadership, entrepreneurship and in general taking responsibility to ones own education are provided with practical application and “hands on” experience. We are confident that students with a Technology Education foundation will be much more successful because they will know what they want to accomplish for their own future.
