Informational meeting on gifted and talented program set for Sept. 29, Oct. 1

Denton Independent School District’s advanced academic division will host an informational meeting for parents about EXPO, the district’s gifted and talented program for students at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, and Thursday, Oct. 1, at the district’s Professional Development Center, located at 1212 Bolivar St. in Denton.

Parents with students at Pecan Creek, Stephens, Nelson, Hawk, Houston, McNair, Rivera, W.S. Ryan, E.P. Rayzor and Blanton Elementary as well as Crownover, Harpool, McMath, and Myers Middle School can get information on EXPO during the meeting on Sept. 29.

Parents with students at Borman, Evers, Ginnings, Newton Rayzor, Lee, Wilson, Hodge, Providence, Cross Oaks, Savannah and Paloma Creek Elementary as well as Calhoun, Strickland and Navo Middle School can get information on EXPO during the meeting on Oct. 1.

There are two separate times to allow parents opportunities to ask questions in regards to their specific schools and programs. Parents are welcome to attend either meeting, but the EXPO specialists from each of the listed schools will only be present at their meeting.

Spanish interpretation will be available at each meeting and additional information on the gifted and talented program is available at www.dentonisd.org/expo.
