Ryan High hosting cheerleading clinic for young children on Oct. 17

Ryan High School will host its annual Future Raider Cheerleading Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 17, and all Denton ISD children from pre-K to seventh grade are welcome to attend to learn the newest cheers, chants and dance routines.

All children at the clinic will take part in a confidence-building experience that culminates in a choreographed dance team learned from the Ryan cheerleaders themselves. In addition to learning activities, children who register in the clinic by Friday, Oct. 9, will receive a Future Raider T-shirt. All children will also receive a snack at the clinic, though children who are register after Oct. 9 cannot be guaranteed a shirt.

The clinic will be hosted at the Ryan gym, located at 5101 E. McKinney St. in Denton, and will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 1 p.m., children will showcase a choreographed performance to family and friends. Children will be grouped according to their age, with instruction from the Ryan cheerleaders overseen by adult supervisors.

Registration is $25, with in-person registration the day of the clinic taking place from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at the Ryan gym.
