Denton High orchestra hosting Oct. 27 senior scholarship benefit concert

Denton High School’s orchestra will host a concert to benefit the campus senior scholarships from 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 27, with several local guest artists joining the performance.

The concert, which costs $10 in advance or $12 at the door, will feature the Denton High chamber orchestra as well as junior and senior orchestra members. Advance tickets for the concert are available at the Denton High front office or from any school orchestra student.

In addition to Denton High musicians, three guest artists and one band from the University of North Texas will accompany the performance. Jeff Bradetich, professor of string bass; Gudren Rauschen, associate professor of string bass; and Susan Dubois, professor of viola, will each perform solo, while the Two O’Clock Lab Band under the direction of Rodney Booth join Denton High students for a performance.
