Denton High hosting November ‘Romeo and Juliet’ performances

Fans of Shakespeare can watch one of the playwright’s classic tales unfold locally in November when Denton High School hosts multiple performances of “Romeo and Juliet.”

Performances scheduled to take place each day at 7 p.m. Nov. 5, 6, 12 and 13 will tell the tale of two star-crossed lovers as they try to overcome a rift between their families. The play is one of Denton High’s first for the year and also serves as a follow-up to last year’s “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” performances, which parodied the famous playwright’s catalog.

All performances will be held in the school’s black box theatre, located at 1007 Fulton St. in Denton. Admission to each performance is $5 per person.
