Ryan-Tascosa playoff game moved to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30

Update: The Ryan-Tascosa game has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the same location in Amarillo. For game details, click here.
Officials from the Denton and Amarillo school districts will meet Saturday morning to discuss travel conditions and the status of the UIL state football playoff game in Amarillo between Ryan and Tascosa.
Both districts are closely monitoring the weather situation with assistance from the National Weather Service and are in contact with the UIL regarding the game. At the time of this positing, the NWS has a winter storm warning in effect for that part of the state until Saturday morning. Road conditions could be hazardous and travel to that region is strongly discouraged.
The safety of our students and staff is always of the utmost concern for Denton ISD, so in following the NWS' discretion, the Ryan Raider Football team and all of its support organizations – including the marching band, cheerleaders, Strutters and others – will not travel to Amarillo on Friday. Parents of students on the team and in these organizations will be notified once a new game time has been set.
