High school students represent district on all-state dance team

Denton ISD's 2015 TDEA dancers Denton ISD’s three comprehensive high schools were each represented on the Texas Dance Educators Association’s all-state dance team, learning more about their craft at a convention that includes workshops, leadership training and other classes.

As chosen by their dance instructors, the Denton High School Fillies were represented by Tiana Martinez, the Guyer High School Silverados were represented by Emily Brown and the Ryan High School Strutters were represented by Emily Roberts. The three dancers were assisted by their instructors at the TDEA conference in early January.

TDEA all-state festivities culminated with a group performance involving the Denton ISD students led by a master choreographer.

Denton ISD’s dance students are instructed by Kerri Burgess and Kristina Shelburne at Denton, Rachel Simpson and Cali Hoffman at Guyer, and Keli Jones and Kayleigh Darling at Ryan.
