Denton percussion ensemble holding sale on Feb. 20 to raise funds for trip

Denton High School’s varsity percussion ensemble will host a sale in the school cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, to raise funds to perform at the National Percussion Festival in Indianapolis.

Prior to the sale, the group will accept donations for items to be sold from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19. Items can be dropped off at the school cafeteria, with easiest access through the Crescent Street parking lot behind the school. Denton High is located at 1007 Fulton St. in Denton.

Those who have donations but can’t make the drop-off time can contact event organizer Barbara Heffley at barbheffley@yahoo.com. For those who would rather donate directly to the percussion ensemble’s trip fund, a GoFundMe account has been set up and can be reached here.

For more information about the percussion ensemble and its endeavors, please contact Robert Brannock, Denton High director of percussion studies, by phone at 940-369-2225 or via email at rbrannock@dentonisd.org.
