Extended School Day 2016-17 online registration now available

Denton Independent School District’s Extended School Day program began online registration for the 2016-17 school year at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, with a new enrollment system.

ESD is an enrichment program that helps Denton ISD students in kindergarten through fifth grade discover and cultivate their aspirations in a safe, after-school learning environment. The program ensures students have the opportunity to participate in educational and recreational activities while providing a supervised environment that promotes safety, learning, responsibility and community involvement following regular school hours.

Because of the new enrollment system, all families – regardless of whether they’ve registered for ESD before – are required to create a new account. To view instructions and information on the registration process, click here. To register your child, click here. As with recent years, the entire process is online, completing all paperwork in the same place.

The after-school program is available to children at each of the district’s 23 elementary schools, including the soon-to-open Bell Elementary, but students may only register for their home campuses. Enrollment in the program is on a first-come, first-served basis through the online registration process.
