Braswell Zone Bash Back-2-School Extravaganza to get students ready on Aug. 16

Braswell Zone PTAs will host the eighth annual Braswell Zone Bash Back-2-School Extravaganza on Tuesday, Aug. 16, to help gear students back into education mode.

The Bash will take place 6 p.m. at Navo Middle School, located at 1701 Navo Road in Aubrey, across from the soon-to-open Braswell High School. With the school opening in August to serve as a focal point for families in the U.S. Highway 380 corridor, the event is being renamed from the 380 Back-2-School Bash to better reflect the area’s new focus. Proceeds will benefit all seven Braswell Zone PTAs and their schools – Bell, Cross Oaks, Paloma Creek, Providence and Savannah elementary schools, Navo Middle School and Braswell High School.

Families in the eastern portion of Denton ISD are invited as a way to reconnect with each other as well as their school staff and administrators. A variety of games and food will be available from several local restaurants with music being played throughout the event. Various local businesses and departments within Denton ISD will also be on hand to give information on the services they provide and answer questions about district growth and programs.

Attending students and their families will have the opportunity to visit with school principals, including the district’s newest additions: Dr. Happy Carrico at Bell Elementary, Beth Kelly at Navo Middle School and Dr. Lesli Guajardo at Braswell High School.
