Two elementary students have artwork featured at TASA/TASB Conference

A pair of Denton ISD campuses had student artwork displayed in an exhibit for the Texas Association of School Boards and School Administrators Conference in Houston this fall.

Lily Cunningham, first grader from Ginnings Elementary and Billy Windschief, fifth grader from Adkins Elementary, each had artwork representing Denton ISD at the Texas Art Educators Association Exhibit.

The students’ work was selected among several entries from school districts and private schools across the state and displayed in the exhibit hall at the George R. Brown Convention Center during the TASA/TASB Conference.

Kay Adamson is the art teacher at Ginnings Elementary and Kelley Quinn McGee is the art teacher at Adkins Elementary.

The TAEA consistently provides avenues for children across the state to showcase their work and promotes the importance of promoting art education and students’ artwork within their communities.
