Teach Denton Seniors Honored

38 Denton ISD Seniors were honored May 17 at the Lagrone Advanced Technology Complex for their participation in the Teach Denton program. All students received a certificate worth three hours college credit. A special scholarship was awarded to Maria Alamilla-Suarez to be used towards tuition at TWU.

Teach Denton is a collaboration between the district, iteachTEXAS and Texas Woman's University. The program serves as a means of identifying future teachers and providing them with a road map to complete their education. Each student worked in an internship capacity with their participating campus educator. Upon receiving their college degree and teaching certification, Teach Denton students receive priority employment consideration with Denton ISD.
