Four High School Bass Fishing Teams Qualify for State
Four teams representing Denton ISD are set to compete at state in the Texas High School Bass Association tournament from May 18-20 on Lake Sam Rayburn.
Teams headed to the state tournament include Guyer High’s Clay Beeler, Chris Beeler, Bryce Hauk, Tucker Nickells, Tyler Barton, Brandon Green and Dawson Kidwell.
Recently, 11 teams representing Braswell, Denton and Guyer high schools competed at the regional tournament on Lake Lewisville. Eight of the 11 caught fish and ultimately four of those teams qualified for the state tournament.
Teams that represented the district in regional competition included Braswell High’s Chancelor Vance, Antonio Roger, Parker Moore, Jake Tyler; Denton High’s Tony Falcinelli, Bret Sorrells, Eli Dickens, Stephen Gossett; Guyer High’s Clay Beeler, Chris Beeler, Michael King, Bryce Hauk, Masyn Lutes, Kenna Paul, Tucker Nickells, Tyler Barton, Brandon Green, Dawson Kidwell, Jacob McKitrick, Camden Lowry, Reece Rockett, Cade Mikolachak.
