Houston Elementary has been a longstanding educational hub for residents in south Denton. The school recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and shows no signs of slowing down in its production of successful students and involved residents.
With a commitment to develop life-long learners and a track record of producing them, Houston students continue to receive top-notch academic instruction from caring teachers and staff and countless opportunities to grow socially and emotionally through engagement with families and local community partners. The school's motto is "Students Here Succeed" and that continues to be the case today.
Houston Elementary first-grade students received a surprise Thursday, just as they were discussing how to design a new helicopter rotor: A real Bell helicopter from Fort Worth landing on their school playground.
