Mrs. Amy Bersosa

Hello Navo Nation!

I am the new kid on the block, as I am entering my 1st year at Navo Middle School (yes, I too am a newbie here)!

For me, starting my career in administration could not have been any better than beginning here at Navo.  My career in Denton ISD began in 2015 as an Educational Diagnostician, and I have been privileged to work with families and staff from Paloma Creek Elementary and Providence Elementary, that transitioned into Navo Middle School, and then moved onto Braswell High School.

The past 3 years, I have had the privilege to serve at Braswell High School.

My teaching career began at Little Elm High School in English Language Arts, beginning in 2004.  For the 2006 school year, I transitioned into Special Education in Plano Independent School District at Jasper High School, teaching inclusion, along with resource classes, in English and Reading.  I also served as the Special Education Department Head for my last 6 years while at Jasper High School.

Presently, I am working towards a doctorate in Special Education, with an emphasis in Educational Leadership, at Texas Woman’s University.

On a personal note, I am a native Buckeye, born and raised from the Great State of OHIO!  I am from the Canton area, home of the football hall of fame!  I am a huge Dallas Cowboys’ fan, which is what brought me to this area after I graduated from college.  I am newly married to another teacher and former coach.  This past summer, we traveled to 3 different Major League Baseball stadiums and ate lots of incredible stadium food, YUM!  My favorite color is glitter and enjoy everything that sparkles.

I am so thrilled be serving the Navo staff, students, families and community, and am looking forward to working beside so many incredible people!  Let’s have a fantastic school year 😊 #PawPeople #NavoNation #PantherPride
