Listen to a UNT performance.  There are several.  Pick one, listen, and make a drawing or a list of words that best describe how the music made you feel.

I would love to see pictures or videos of your learning.  Email me at asteward@dentonisd.org or respond to my flipgrid.

    4/6 -4/10

Create your very own musical composition using instruments that you have made or things that you find around the house that make noise.  Ask permission before using something as an instrument. Always tap gently to get the best sound quality out of your instrument and be careful not to dent or break your instrument.  I will use a book, a pan and wooden spoon, a shaker I made, and a toy out of my son’s room. Email me a picture of your instruments or a video of your creation at asteward@dentonisd.org

See if you can clap all of the monster rhythms on this page.  Combine your favorite 4 rhythms to create a rhythm piece. Email me a video of your creation at asteward@dentonisd.org.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjUxQg9cHiOYqaRdtZ6pfoQ  Music Activities.  Try Great Big House in New Orleans.  Upper grades: we have done this in class.  Try to teach your family members the dance. Also, pick a rhythm part and play along with the song the second time through.

    4/20 - 4/24

Remember, you can use body percussion or make an instrument to play on.  You can also say the rhythms. Please email me a picture or a video of you saying or playing the rhythms.  I would love to hear from you: asteward@dentonisd.org
