What's the difference between the Technology Service Desk and the Help Desk?
The Denton ISD Help Desk will provide 1st level support for the district's technology and focus on incident management. 1st level support consists of anything that doesn't need administrative credentials to change and can be troubleshot over the phone, through email, or by a HEAT Ticket.
The Service Desk will provide 2nd and 3rd tier support for the district's technology. The Service Desk consists of Service Desk Specialists and Service Desk Analysts. This group's purpose is to capture demand for incident resolution within the district through service requests. If something is not working properly and needs more attention than the Help Desk can provide, the incident will then be escalated to the Service Desk.
