Poison Ivy and Poison Oak are NOT contagious from person to person. The blisters have clear fluid that the body produces due to local trauma but this is not contagious. The only way poison ivy/oak can be spread is to come in contact with the oil of the plant. If there are clothes or items that have not been cleaned after contact with the plant, then a re-occurrence of the rash may appear. For more information go to www.poisonivy.aesir.com/faq.html.
