Dual CreditDual Credit enrollment allows students the opportunity to enroll in classes counted for both high school credit and college credit. Dual Credit classes will enrich the students learning as well as prepare them for college rigor.At this time, (subject to change) classes that will be offered at DHS for Dual Credit are AP English 3, AP English 4, AP Statistics, Honors Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus.To be eligible to participate in a dual credit class, a student must have a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA (students can check their GPA on their Naviance account) and meet TSI testing requirements. TSI requirements will be addressed in full at the mandatory Dual Credit meeting.All students interested in participating in Dual Credit classes during the Summer of 2019 or during the 2019-2020 school year must attend a Dual Credit meeting. All details about the Dual Credit process will be discussed during the meeting. Parents are not required to attend, but they are welcome at these events. Attendance is required at one of the following dates/times:
