Sabrina PolkCounselor
Welcome to Ann Windle School for Young Children. I'm excited to be the part-time counselor working with you and your child this year. My office hours here at Windle are 8-3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday. This will be my 20th year as a counselor and my 23rd year in education. I've had the opportunity to see many students succeed and flourish in Denton ISD. My hometown has been Denton since I began at the University of North Texas in 1989. I received both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1992 and a Masters Degree in Counseling Education in 1998 at UNT. I have been honored twice by former students by being selected as Who's Who Among American Teachers. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC.
As your child's first counselor, my goal is to familiarize you with my role as a school counselor and to help your child reach their full potential socially and emotionally. As a school counselor, I will work with you and your child to discover the joys of becoming a lifelong learner. I believe that diversity is to be respected and appreciated, and that our school fosters unity among our students, faculty, staff and community.Sincerely,Sabrina Polk, M.Ed., LPCPlease send any questions to spolk2@dentonisd.org
